Edmund Rice College was created to meet the growing educational needs of Dublin 15, delivering a modern secondary school designed to serve a rapidly expanding community.
Working alongside JJ Rhatigan under the Department of Education’s Design & Build programme, Lawler Consulting provided the Mechanical & Electrical Building Services Engineering for a new 11,265 m² school accommodating 1,000 students. The development includes four special educational needs units, a PE hall, a general-purpose area and extensive teaching and staff facilities, creating a flexible environment designed to support learning for generations to come.

Our team developed an integrated M&E design that balanced energy performance, operational efficiency and long-term running costs. Every element was designed to support both the daily experience of students and staff and the long-term performance of the building itself.
